Committed to Excellence

The field of complementary health, hair and beauty are growing industries.  We provide a membership organisation that is committed to raising the standards.  Becoming part of our organisation ensures that practitioners have a comprehensive set of codes of conduct to adhere to, access to CPD, and that courses and providers approved by us are meeting the National Occupational Standards and are quality, professional courses which are delivered effectively and are using appropriate assessment methods.

Modern medicine approaches are changing and conventional providers are now recognising that complementary health is the answer to many of modern lifestyle disorders.   As more and more of the general public seek out practitioners, we became committed to providing the highest standards in the industry.

How do we plan to raise the standards in the industry?

  • Rigorous quality assurance procedures

  • Providing CPD for our members

  • Annual visits to our executive member training schools to offer support where needed

In order for a course to be accredited by the ANHB, it must meet the following standards:

  • The course must be delivered by appropriately qualified tutors

  • It must meet a minimum of the National Occupational Standards

  • Insurance criteria must be adhered to

  • There must be appropriate assessment methods

  • Included in the course there must be comprehensive training manuals/handbooks

  • Clear progression routes must be outlined where appropriate.

All institutions are required to submit their manuals, scheme of works, lesson plans, and lesson objectives.
